Paul Loyall's Walking StickThis walking stick belonged to Paul Loyall, Mayor of Norfolk in 1762, 1772, 1775, and 1781. A colorful account of Loyall exists in the story of how he helped quash an attempt to impress unwilling sailors into the British Navy. Loyall was also mayor when Lord Dunmore, the last royal governor of Virginia, confiscated John Holt's Press for its Revolutionary printings.
